The city of Zibo – located in East China's Shandong province – is the capital of the ancient state of Qi, which was one of the most powerful states during the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC) and the Warring States Period (475-221 BC).

The Qi Culture Museum in the Linzi district, based on the former museum for the Qi ruins, houses more than 30,000 individual relics, with 4,100 or so items on permanent display.
